Tupelo Motorcycle Accident Lawyer

“I didn’t see the motorcycle.”

That’s what many at-fault car and truck drivers say after they’ve hit a motorcycle. But not seeing a legal vehicle on the road is no excuse! It’s the job of every motorist to drive with care. When a distracted driver or a careless driver injuries someone, they are responsible.

If you or a loved one was injured in a motorcycle crash, you have a right to compensation.

Let me help. I’m Tupelo motorcycle accident lawyer Missy McKinney. People call me, Mama Missy, because who else do you turn to when you’re hurting? You go to the person who cares.

I represent everyday people throughout northeastern Mississippi, from Tupelo to Corinth to Aberdeen and everywhere in between. You can trust me to get you the money you deserve after a motorcycle crash resulting in serious injuries, or the wrongful death of a loved one. Leave the insurance company to me. I know how to get results. Email me or call my office at 662-214-9815.

After a Motorcycle Accident with Injuries: First Things First

  1. Be sure you report the accident to the police and your insurance company. This gets the ball rolling so you have a record of what has happened and the insurer can get started.
  2. Get the medical help you need and do it soon. Toughing out the pain, thinking it will go away, will just slow your recovery. If you don’t know whom to see, I can recommend some medical doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists, and therapists.
  3. If possible, get someone over to the scene of the accident to take pictures. Evidence disappears quickly so those first pictures can be important. If the police didn’t impound the bike, have someone put it into storage. Get pictures and a good report from a mechanic about damage before anything gets fixed.

Now your job is to get better. Leave the rest to me.

Getting You the Money You Deserve To Recover From Motorcycle Injury

Most insurance companies do a pretty good job of paying property claims for a smashed motorcycle. The problem usually comes in when the motorcycle crash caused serious injuries or the wrongful death of a biker, or when the at-fault driver is uninsured.

Did you or your loved one suffer a:

  • Broken leg, broken foot, broken ankle,
  • Crush injuries,
  • Laceration or abrasions from the road,
  • Head injury, brain injury, or
  • Severe burn?

The more serious the injuries, the more medical-related expenses you will have and you should be reimbursed for all of them. You can be reimbursed not only for doctor visits and therapists, medicine and medical equipment, but also adaptations to your home or your vehicle caused by a disability, travel and parking expenses, and other costs related to your injury.

You can also get money for time lost from work.

It all adds up – and it’s all expenses that should be covered by the at-fault driver’s insurance company, or by your insurance company if you were hit by an uninsured driver and you had uninsured/underinsured coverage.

What I Do For My Clients

A big part of my job is gathering all the records together so it’s easy to see what happened and what you have been through. I gather police reports, accident photos and records, repair bills, medical bills, etc.

Then I submit a demand letter to the right people – the other drivers’ insurance company or your insurance company. I will negotiate with insurers on your behalf so you don’t have to fight the bureaucracy. This takes a lot of stress away from you and your family.

I have a long track record of successfully negotiating good settlements for my clients. That’s how the vast majority of personal injury cases are resolved. But Sometimes a case needs to go to court for a jury trial to get the best result. I will go to court and fight hard to get the compensation that you deserve. I have many years of successful courtroom trial experience. The decision to go to court is ultimately yours. I will provide you the necessary information to help you make the best decision for you and your family. My staff and I are here to help you along that path.
